“E' stato un bellissimo soggiorno in un posto incantevole, anche se troppo corto purtroppo! Camera ampia e confortevole con un bel bagno. Vista sul lago che è uno spettacolo! Tranquilità e una cucina da assagiare al meno una volta durante il soggiorno. Il servizio molto buono e molto disponibili. Ci tornerei senza dubbi!”

“Fantastic stay the shepherds hut, which was much larger than expected and beautifully appointed. The facilities in the hotel are excellent. The restaurant was great and the spa and outdoor pool was fantastic. The massage by the Spanish lady was one of the best I’ve had. We also took the ferry over to Tarbert one afternoon, which was 20 minutes away and just glorious. I’d go back in a heartbeat!”

“I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional.
The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. I had locally free dived seared scallops from the loch, I had the slow roasted goat shank with lentils - exceptional, and we shared a lemon tart with fresh berries. I loved the Kames and I seriously recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

Room 1 looks straight over the Loch.

“The hotel was class , looked dated , which i like , but the rooms were like wow , wouldn't expect going into a hotel which on the outside , and in the halls were like walking into the late 19th century the i went into a room a basic btw , and a beautiful mural of david bowie and just transformed it into modern, was such a wow factor , the staff were like family , we went to the pub about 3 mile away , and the boss was there , talking away as if we were family, ive never felt so like home but...

"Because we had a bad experience at the restaurant outside the hotel (the only one working in one-hour driving area) we chose to dine at the hotel. They told us that the chef was alone that night (Saturday) and could take up to one hour to eat something (7:30PM). We had no choice and asked for veggie burgers, but they didn’t have any (again, on Saturday night with tons of tourists around). We ended up eating fries for dinner. To excuse, the staff arranged a small snack before our departure the next day. It was really kind of them but this doesn’t cover the lack of organization for such an important hotel."
